How To Succeed At Almost Anything

Don’t get me wrong whenever you’re trying to achieve something there are tough days, stumbling blocks and many, many challenges.

Success isn’t easy that's for sure, but there’s a simple strategy that you can use to succeed at pretty much anything.

I’ve used this to grow Steel Habitat from 6 members to around 250 in just over 2.5 years.

I’ve used it to go from playing amateur rugby to being selected for my country.

I’ve used it learn how to be effective at marketing and business (with no previous experience).

I’ve used it to turn myself from a skinny 80kg to an athletic 97kg.

I’ve used to go from never having managed a team to being a decent leader of a team of 8.

I’ve used it to lose 9kg of fat and go from over 20% body fat back down to around 10%.

The good part about this strategy is anyone can use it.

Step One: Set a very specific goal with a clear deadline

Don’t be vague.

What exactly do you want to achieve and by when?

Step Two: Find someone who has already achieved what you want to achieve

...but more importantly has actually help other people achieve it too.

Just ‘cos someone is in shape doesn’t mean they know how to help YOU get in shape.

You should be looking for someone with a proven track record of getting results.

Step Three: Get them to teach you how to do it

Ask them what are THE most crucial things that you need to do to get the results you want.

Cut all the shit.

No fluff.

No “maybe you should try this”.

Just the stuff that is 100% proven to work.

Ask them to cut it down to less than 5 things that you need to do consistently.

Then get them to coach you through the process of doing those things.

(You’ll probably have to invest some money in this - like becoming a member at SH)

Step Four: Do it . . . and do it with consistency

You can have the best advice from the most experienced mentor or coach in the world but unless you go out and relentlessly put their advice into action then you’re going to end up treading water.

And honestly that's it.

I did it with rugby - I set a clear goal of being selected for England Counties. Then I got coached by Brian Ashton (former England coach) and World Cup Winner Jason Robinson.

I got them to teach me how they had made themselves (and many others) successful and they told me, so I listened, I implemented and I got the result within 8 months.

That was the first time I realised how simple it could be and since then I’ve done it time and time again and it works.

It’s the simplest, most effective way to get results.

And it 100% will work for you when it comes to getting in the best shape of your life.

1. Set a goal with a deadline

2. Find someone who’s helped others achieve that result

3. Get them to teach you how to get that result too

4. Implement their advice day in, day out
